Toronto Wedding Photography at the King Edward Hotel

If true love could be measured by the width of a smile, then the love between this couple would circle the circumference of the earth! Leanne and Yoon’s wedding took place at the wonderful and elegant King Edward Hotel on King Street in downtown Toronto. What a beautiful location for Toronto wedding photography. The interior has gorgeous architecture, tall ceilings, rooms bathed with light, elegant furniture and interesting details. As creative Toronto wedding photographers we are very inspired by the King Edward Hotel.

Toronto wedding photography is a  a lot of fun when the backdrop is an exciting urban environment. Leanne and Yoon got ready at the hotel and then walked down the street with their wedding party and family to St. James Gardens at King Street East at Church Street. St. James Gardens is part of  Cathedral Church of St. James and there are many architectural features of the church exterior that can be incoporated into photographs. The gardens were lovely. The trees had just started to turn colour. In the centre of the park is a vintage gazebo which turned out to be a great prop.

Leanne and Yoon were very relaxed all day. They were open to our suggestions for shots and even had some ideas for interesting backdrops. Yoon wanted a shot of the guys in front of the Gooderham Flatiron Building on Front Street. Afterwards, we even took some shots at the famous St. Lawrence Market, with Saturday shoppers in the background! During the walk back from St. James Gardens, Leanne ran into old friends while waiting for the light to change at an intersection. What an unexpected surprise and lots of fun. Of course, we photographed the meeting and the photos are part of the rich documentary narrative of Leanne and Yoon’s wedding day! Toronto wedding photography sure is a lot of fun.
